Waiting for the storm ...
Or just rain. I've watched the sky outside my office turn from lovely blue to pearl gray, while sunlight wanes and the tall cedars darken.
I've gotten further than the second chapter. Truly.
While I keep editing, here are the first three paragraphs of Chapter Two:
How quickly the body forgets the strictures imposed by society! Diana couldn't have felt more free and comfortable had she ridden naked.
Ha. Lady Godiva of the ranch, riding Paladin onto wooded trails and up grassy hills, her bare limbs kissed by a radiant sun and cooled by pine-scented breezes that swept down the Sangres.
Silly thought. More likely sunburn and blood-lusting mosquitoes would ravage her pale flesh. Not to mention a chance encounter with one of the ranch hands. No, shirts and trousers borrowed from her brother's wardrobe sufficed for her daily jaunts.
My website has undergone renovations by the talented Dee Mattia, of dmDesign. Check it out.
